Designed to be easy to use, the DECT2088 offers menu prompts in both English and Spanish, while the backlit keypad makes it a snap to enter phone numbers or access features in any light setting. The large, easy-to-read LCD screen clearly displays the date, time, extension and other data and is also compatible with the caller-ID and call-waiting display. And the 70 phone book locations and 30-number caller ID history help ensure that you'll never need to hunt for a number again. And the three-party conferencing option, which allows you to conference Line 1, Line 2, base and caller, is great for talking to friends and family members.
Expandable, Dependable Operation
The DECT2088 truly adapts to your needs by being expandable to up to six handsets, and by offering time-saving features. First, the high visibility message waiting indicator lets you immediately know when someone has left a message. And when you're on the phone and the call waiting beeps, you won't have to wait to find out who's calling--the LCD clearly displays the name and number of the caller in call waiting. (Note: to activate this feature, you must subscribe through your telephone company.) You can also use the handset as a speakerphone, transfer calls between handsets and personalize ringers so you'll know who's on the line before you pick up the phone. To save you time, this system also offers last five number redial capabilities.

Advanced DECT 6.0 technology, or Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications, operates on the newly released 1.9 GHz frequency band that was recently allocated to support cordless telephony. Uniden DECT 6.0 incorporates unique "listen before transmit" technology that avoids interference with many household products, such as baby monitors, microwaves and WiFi (which operate on frequencies like 2.4 GHz).
